Long in the Tooth: A Monologue

“You don’t just go through life bouncing off of things like a steel pinball. It’s a bit like being a tumbleweed. You pick everything up as you go along the way. And a lot of it you don’t want. I don’t want a dead snakeskin in my tumbleweed. But tough.”

Long in the Tooth is a filmed monologue, written by Shaun Nolan and performed by Barbara Muston that premiered on YouTube on Thursday June 30th, 2022. Shaun and Barbara previously collaborated together on Three Tall Women, The Sugar Plum, and A Place Set Aside for Sleeping.

The monologue listens to a woman as she unravels a life lived looking in the rearview mirror.
